Los nominados a los próximos premios Óscar podrán acudir físicamente al evento en Los Ángeles, sin embargo, con estrictas medidas para asegurar su salud, por la pandemia de Covid-19.
Al respecto, la Academia de Hollywood señala dos condiciones para asistir al evento, lo que contempla primeramente una cuarentena de 110 días, sin contacto exterior, justo antes del evento.
La segunda condición son tres resultados negativos de pruebas PCR a Covid-19: antes de viajar, al aterrizar en California y el mismo día de la ceremonia.
De esta manera, la organización se acercaría a su principal propósito, una gala sin videollamadas, después de asegurar que no serían una opción para participar en el evento a diferencia de otras entregas de premios como los Globos de Oro o los Emmy.
